Captain Fantastic!

On Wednesday, Steven Gerrard scored his 100th goal for Liverpool in the Champion’s League match against PSV Eindhoven. The Reds won the match 3-1 with goals from Robbie Keane (his first as a Red), Dirk Kuyt, and Gerrard. Gerrard’s was particularly fantastic because it was his 100th goal for Liverpool and because it was scored in typical Stevie G. fashion. Just watch the video below to see what I’m talking about. It’s a thing of beauty. The power with which he strikes the ball is amazing. Also, The Blizzard King also noted the superb tactics used in the hit; just as he hits the ball, Lucas Leiva steps aside, leaving the opening in the wall that the ball sails through. Just fantastic. Now, I know that they get paid the big bucks to be this precise with the ball, but it never ceases to amaze me when I see it.
